When: Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September 2026, drop in and out:
Thu | 5pm – 11pm Fri | 4pm – 12am Sat | 10am – 12am Sun | 10am – 6:30pm
Where: Festival Hub, Prince’s Square, corner of Elizabeth and St John Street, Launceston
Cost: Free before 7pm. After 7pm, included in Festival Hub entry
Access: Step free
The Seed Swap runs entirely on donated seed and knowledge from individuals, landcare groups, community gardens, and local nurseries across the region. Every packet carries a Junction label naming the seed and, where the donor is happy, who saved it.
Vegetables, herbs, flowers, natives, all welcome, any amount.
We are giving away small bags alongside the seeds so people can plant the same day.
If you have unpackaged seeds you’d like us to package for you, contact info@junctionartsfestival.com.au and we’ll arrange to collect them or share a drop off location.
Otherwise, drop them off at the Festival Hub from 17-20 September.

The Seed Swap is a place to bring seeds you’ve saved and take home something new to grow. Seeds are small acts of hope in the turning of the seasons, carried through the dark months for the promise of what’s to come, fitting for a swap held in the balance of the equinox.
Bring your own to share, swap stories with fellow growers, and leave with something new to plant when the time is right.
