The AGM is your opportunity to learn more about Permaculture Tasmania. It also is an opportunity to play a formal role in Permaculture Tasmania by standing for a committee position.

How can I nominate someone or myself for the committee?
To participate in the AGM and/or stand for a position, you must be a financial member of Permaculture Tasmania.
You are entitled to vote if:
- you are a current financial member
- you are a lifetime member
- your membership rights have not been suspended for any reason.
What is a proxy vote?
You can complete a Proxy Form which allows you, a member, to appoint another person to vote on you behalf at the meeting if you are unable to attend the meetings but still would like to have a voice in the decision making process.
Summary of committee member roles
- President — facilitates committee meetings and communications among member, represents the association, makes sure the organisation operates according to the rules
- Secretary — mantaining records of meetings, managing correspondence
- Treasurer — manages payments and receipts of moneys and issues receipts, keep financial records and prepare financial statement prior to AGM
- Membership officer — leads membership team, seeks member benefit discounts, maintain membership database.
- Ordinary member — has voting rights on key decisions, participates in meetings
- Public Officer — official legal contact, document management, lodge annual return with Consumer, Building and Occupational Services
