Hi, I’m Shuwen (Will), a passionate permaculture practitioner with over six years of gardening experience in both Far North Queensland and Tasmania. I have a deep interest in food forests and passive house design, constantly exploring ways to integrate sustainable practices into daily life.

In 2024, I completed my Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) with Community Garden Australia, and since then, I have been actively applying permaculture principles in my work and lifestyle. Beyond permaculture, I also hold a Master of IT degree and assist Permaculture Tasmania with web development and maintenance.

I love chickens—I’m truly a chicken enthusiast! I’ve been raising chickens for about 1.5 years, observing their unique personalities and caring for them daily. My flock enjoys a free-range life in a spacious one-acre backyard. I prioritize personality over appearance and health over purebred status, fostering a diverse mix of breeds, including Sussex, Australorp, Wyandotte, Araucana, Rhode Island Red, Japanese Bantam, and more.

I believe even small actions can make a big difference for our planet—every effort counts. I still consider myself new to permaculture, and I’m always eager to learn more. I look forward to connecting with like-minded permaculture enthusiasts like you!
